Atlassian Support Engineer

Forty8Fifty Labs (a Veristor company) is seeking an experienced Atlassian Support Engineer to join the team located in Duluth, Georgia. As a member of Forty8Fifty’s Support Services Team, you will have the opportunity to use the Atlassian skills you have and build new ones. You will support a wide range of Atlassian environments across multiple clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 and everything in between. Essential Functions:

The Atlassian Support Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for customers that utilize Atlassian products and will be responsible for providing excellent customer service through professional written and verbal communication with customers in various roles.  Other functions include:

  • Provide prompt, accurate follow-up to tickets and support calls
  • Set up, administer and support Atlassian Tools: JIRA, JIRA Service Desk or Confluence
  • Share knowledge of issues and corresponding resolutions or workarounds with partner teams (including, but not limited to, the creation of new knowledge base articles/solutions and procedures)
  • Maintain multiple JIRA and Confluence environments per Atlassian best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Windows and Linux system administration skills (experience managing servers in a production or development environment)
  • Experience with researching and managing 3rd party add-ons for JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with creating basic dashboards and filters
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures
  • Scripting skills – ability to automate basic tasks with scripts
  • Security knowledge – Understanding of SSL encryption, basic operating system hardening, firewalls, filesystem permissions, etc.
  • 2-4 years experience with both Linux and Atlassian tools
  • Proxy and load balancer knowledge is a plus
